Who am I?

I'm a 30 year old computer journalist, based in London. I'm also one of the founders of Digital Diversity, which is probably where you got to this page from. As you might expect from that, I'm also gay, and was with my ex-partner, Barry, for over five years. [Disgusted bigots can note that that's a damn sight longer than my parents managed to stay together!]

Other pages

If you want to know more, you'll either have to wait for me to finish this site, or look at some of these other pages that have information about me and a few extra links.

What do I do?

Most of my living is made from writing for computer magazines, but I also do some consultancy for a small number of organisations, inlcuding RubberStuffers, Stonewall and the National AIDS Manual.

I'm a regular contributor to Computer Buyer, Personal Computer World, Internet World, Demon Despatches, and Easy PC. You'll also find my work from time to time in Mac User, The Mac and What PC?

One of my monthly columns - in PCW - is 'net.answers' where I try to respond to readers' queries about the Internet. I can't promise to send personal replies to people, but if you fancy seeing your question in print, mail net.answers@stonewall.demon.co.uk

Getting hold of me

The best address to use for personal mail is nigel@diversity.org.uk - but please don't use that address for queries about mailing lists or other projects that I'm involved in.
